Active Leeds lists public pay-and-play golf at Roundhay Park and Temple Newsam. It directs players to the individual clubs and currently says bookings are by telephone. Check the current instructions before relying on an old app or third-party listing.
Roundhay Park is described as a nine-hole course in wooded parkland. It is an option to investigate for a shorter first meeting. Ask which round format is available, how long to allow and whether there are any visitor requirements. For Temple Newsam, confirm the current course arrangement and suitable tee times directly; the two venues need not have identical rules or availability.
Define your part of Leeds
A golfer near Roundhay and someone on the other side of the city may mean different things by an easy evening round. Give your area and a practical travel limit. If you can travel to Bradford or Wakefield, say so explicitly instead of promising to meet anywhere in West Yorkshire.
